Welcome to Absolvo ("we," "our," or "us"). Absolvo is a private Christian prayer companion app for iOS. We are deeply committed to protecting your privacy, especially given the sensitive and sacred nature of prayer and spiritual reflection.

This Privacy Policy explains how Absolvo handles your information. The short answer: we don't collect it.

2. Our Privacy-First Architecture

• On-Device AI: The AI prayer companion runs entirely on your iPhone using a local language model. Your conversations are processed on your device and are never sent to any server.
• No Accounts: Absolvo does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information to use the app.
• No Internet Required: Core features work in airplane mode. The app does not transmit your prayer content, scripture reading history, or any personal data over the internet.
• No Analytics or Tracking: We do not use analytics SDKs, advertising identifiers, or tracking pixels. We do not monitor how you use the app.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Information We Do NOT Collect

• Your name, email address, or any personal identifiers
• Prayer content, confession text, or spiritual reflections
• Scripture reading history or daily bread selections
• Location data, contacts, or photos
• Device usage analytics or behavioral data
• Advertising identifiers or tracking data

3.2 Information Stored Locally on Your Device

The following data is stored only on your device and is never transmitted:

• Prayer Records: Your saved prayers are stored in the app's local database on your device. You can delete them at any time.
• App Preferences: Language settings, notification preferences, and streak data are stored locally.
• Confession Content: Confession prayers use "burn-after-reading" — the content is permanently deleted from your device after the absolution ceremony. It is never stored persistently.

3.3 Biometric Data

Absolvo uses Face ID or Touch ID to protect the Confession feature. Biometric authentication is handled entirely by Apple's secure enclave on your device. Absolvo never accesses, processes, or stores your biometric data.

4. Subscription Information

Absolvo offers optional premium subscriptions and donation tiers. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We receive only:

• Confirmation that a subscription or purchase is active (via RevenueCat)
• No payment details, credit card numbers, or billing addresses

We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID (not linked to your identity) and subscription status. RevenueCat does not have access to your prayer content or app usage data.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, share, or disclose your personal information because we do not collect it.

Your data is protected by multiple layers of security:

• On-Device Processing: All AI inference happens locally — no data leaves your phone
• Face ID / Touch ID: Confession mode is protected by biometric authentication via Apple's secure enclave
• Burn-After-Reading: Confession content is permanently and irreversibly deleted after the absolution ceremony
• iOS Sandboxing: App data is protected by iOS's built-in sandboxing and encryption
• No Cloud Storage: There is no server to breach — your data exists only on your device

7. Data Retention

Prayer records are stored on your device until you delete them. Confession content is automatically destroyed after the absolution ceremony. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data.

We retain no data on any server because we have no servers that store user data.

8. Your Rights

Because Absolvo does not collect personal data, traditional data rights (access, correction, deletion, portability) are inherently satisfied. You have complete control over all data stored on your device:

• Access & Control: All your data is on your device, accessible to you at all times
• Deletion: Delete individual prayer records within the app, or uninstall to remove all data
• Portability: Your data lives on your device under your control

9. Children's Privacy

Absolvo is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. Since the app collects no personal information from any user, there is no risk of children's data being collected or stored.

10. International Users

Absolvo is available in multiple languages (English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, French, Spanish, and Portuguese). Since the app processes everything on-device and does not transfer data internationally, there are no cross-border data transfer concerns.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy at this URL and update the "Last Updated" date. Material changes will be noted in the app's update release notes.
